What 18 months still gives you
No job offer needed, no sponsorship, any skill level, full-time work from day one. For career-focused master's students entering with a plan, 18 months remains enough to convert to a Skilled Worker visa.
How to plan around the change
Prefer September 2026 entry so your Graduate Route application falls under current terms where possible. Target universities with placement years and strong careers services - structured employer access compresses the job hunt. Line up your Skilled Worker pathway (licensed sponsors in your field) before you fly, not after you graduate.
