Family rules differ sharply by destination - and they change often. Canada restricts student-spouse work rights by programme; the UK allows dependants only for research programmes and government-sponsored students; Australia ties partner visas to master's/doctoral enrolment; Ireland and Singapore generally do not allow student dependants at all.
